How We Streamlined ERI Data Delivery with the Managed Smart Data Platform

Our Story
Raw Knowledge originally formed part of sister company Financial Software Ltd (FSL), investment tax specialists and creators of the award-winning capital gains solution CGiX.
We provided Excess Reportable Income (ERI) data to FSL clients for over ten years, as well as our own clients via independent contracts.
As our own client base grew, the Raw Knowledge team separated from FSL in 2024 to provide our ERI data as a stand-alone service and develop new data-focused capabilities.
Today, Raw Knowledge provides the most comprehensive ERI data in the market and helps businesses establish a single, actionable and auditable source of truth with the Managed Smart Data platform, an end-to-end data management solution built specifically for financial institutions.

Preya is the former Head of Data at FSL and has over 25 years’ experience in the finance industry, having previously worked in the pensions and insurance sector. She has been recognised as the Relationship Management Specialist of the Year at the Systems in the City Awards for two consecutive years.
Preya graduated in International Business with a Diploma in Modern Languages. She has a Certificate in Investments and recently completed the Institute of Directors’ Certificate in Company Direction, passing with an overall distinction.

Head of Thought Train
Ian leads Raw Knowledge’s Innovation Hub, Thought Train, which worked closely with the company to design and launch the new Managed Smart Data platform.
With over 30 years experience in consultancy and financial services, Ian has held senior roles across a range of organisations, including a major international investment bank where he led the team supporting back-office operations. He began his career in application and systems development and has since built extensive experience in platform transformation and organisational change delivery.

Shrity has over ten years’ experience researching, validating and collating financial data. She originally formed part of the data team at Raw Knowledge’s sister company Financial Software Ltd. In 2025, she made the switch to Raw Knowledge.
Today, Shrity continues to apply her data expertise at Raw Knowledge as ERI Team Lead, maintaining the rigorous standards that our clients rely on for their client reporting.
