Our Story
Raw Knowledge began life as part of sister company Financial Software Ltd (FSL). Our team helped identify the need to improve industry access to quality excess reportable income (ERI) data and provided this to both our own and FSL’s customers.
As our team, customer base and capabilities grew, we separated from FSL in 2024 to begin offering our own solutions and services. Today, Raw Knowledge provides the most comprehensive ERI data in the market and and helps businesses make better, data-driven decisions with our Managed Smart Data Platform.
By unlocking the full power of financial data, we want to help the financial services industry become more agile, insightful and open.

Preya Patel
Managing Director
Preya is the former Head of Data at FSL and has over 25 years’ experience in the finance industry, having previously worked in the pensions and insurance sector. She has been recognised as the Relationship Management Specialist of the Year at the Systems in the City Awards for two consecutive years.
Preya graduated in International Business with a Diploma in Modern Languages. She has a Certificate in Investments and recently completed the Institute of Directors’ Certificate in Company Direction, passing with an overall distinction.

Ian Robinson
Head of Though Train
Ian leads Raw Knowledge’s Innovation Hub, Thought Train, which worked closely with the company to design and launch the new Managed Smart Data platform.
With over 30 years experience in consultancy and financial services, Ian has held senior roles across a range of organisations, including a major international investment bank where he led the team supporting back-office operations. He began his career in application and systems development and has since built extensive experience in platform transformation and organisational change delivery.

ERI Team Lead
Shrity has over ten years’ experience researching, checking and collating market data. She rejoined Raw Knowledge’s sister company, FSL, in 2022 following a brief career break to lead the ERI team.
